Getting The Most Out of the Cariboo Visit

There are numerous tours or side trips you can consider in order to take in the total beauy that the Cariboo area has to offer.  They can take a day or several weeks to complete so planning is vital in making sure that enough time has been allocated... you won't be sorry.
Many of the roads in the Cariboo are built on old pioneer trails so it isn't uncommon to see historical structures as you travel.  As you make your journey in your vehicle, imagine what it was like for the early settlers in their wooden-wheel wagons on the dirt roads.  Today, while negotiating raging rivers or jagged mountain passes by simply using a modern bridge or tunnel, think back to the days when man and wagon first encountered these obstacles, and how they solved them.
In a couple of minutes you cross the bridge; back then, they spent weeks building that bridge.  What remains the same is the awe-inspiring beauty of the land.  Just as the scenery took the breath away from the settlers as they came around each bend in the trail, so it will capture you as you travel the same roads so many years later.
