Cariboo Defined

Many visitors to the province of British Columbia end up travelling through the Cariboo.  Heading north on Highway #1 you come to a small town called Cache Creek.  At the traffic light select Highway #97 and prepare for your introduction to the Cariboo about 20 minutes later when you go through the town of Clinton BC.
You start to get the cowboy-plains-adventure flavour real soon as you continue to travel north right through to Prince George BC.  It's wide too; about 600 Km wide with lots of open spaces.  Around every bend in the road you expect to see a surprise, and rarely are you disappointed.  There's scenery to take your breath away, so take your camera out of the case.  If you don't encounter some form of game along the way you may find some historical site worth a click.
Visitors of the past have found themselves in the middle of a cattle drive as real cowboys move their herd to fertile grazing areas.  You are in the real west with everything here but the outlaws.
